1.Tacho Pro 2008 supports vehicle before 2006 including 2001 Subaru Forester model. You may refer the detail vehicle list here:

2.Tacho Pro 2008 and digiprog 3 both are good odometer correction tool so they project almost the same functions. Tacho pro is able to work on vehicles before 2006 while digiprog iii supports newer and part of 2012 years cars. Digiprog 3 is a little expensive than tacho pro.
3.Sorry, tacho pro 2008 does not support trucks, it can only work on cars.
4.The package will 3-5 days if it send by DHL.

How to program EEPROM with Tacho Pro 2008

An EEPROM (Electronically Eraseable and Programmable ROM) is a ROM chip which can be reprogrammed and cleared for many times fast and accurately. EEPROM chips are widely used in? many cars and trucks. The other day, a a customer called me, asking how to programming his BMW EEPROM with our Tacho Pro To use Tacho Pro 2008, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1. Clean the EEPROM chip. Make sure there is no paint or dust on it.
Step 2. Put oscillators on the board together.
Step 3: Put the clip on the EEPROM.
Step 4. Connect adapter-board to Tacho Pro 2008 and power up the mileage correction tool.
Step 5. Put the other end of the clip to the 8 pin port on the adapter-board with the red cable Tacho Pro on the pin 1 mark, as picture shown below.
Step 6. Select the car model on the main menu, and then click OK. The Tacho Pro will then read the EEPROM and enter to the EEPROM menu.
Step 7. Save all data with the menu SAVE if the value shown in the machine is alright.
Step 8. Go to the KM adjustment menu, fill in the new value, and the Tacho 2008 will verify if the EEPROM is successfully programmed.

Step 9. Remove the clip from the EEPROM.

Dear Paul,

It actually depends on what you need. About price, Tacho Pro U2008 is cheaper, but it only supports cars built before 2008. Digiprog 3 can work with more cars, including the ones made in 2012, but it costs $50 to $200 more than Tacho Pro in different places. There is another thing you should know, given the low budget, I suppose you are going to buy the tool from China Tacho Pro, and most Chinese Tacho Pro cannot be updated, yet their DP3 is upgradable. Differences between KESS and KESS V2 Master

Yesterday, a customer inquired me what is the difference between KESS OBD Tuning Kit and  kess v2. Indeed, these two tools are very similar no matter in their names or functions. But they are different in car models they support and the way they program ECU chips.
1.KESS V2 Master is a polished version of KESS OBD Tuning Kit. As we all know,  kess v2 only program via OBD2 port, but KESS V2 also support programming via boot mode.

2.KESS V2 is able to work with both cars and bikes, while KESS simply does not support bikes. Besides, KESS V2 can work with more brnads of cars and newer ECU chips than that KESS.


Kess v2 error “External exception EEFFACE” and tokens problem resolved

I replaced chip and reset tokens, then get connection error “External exception EEFFACE” as following picture shows.
Try follow steps:
1.If you connect to internet with this clone tool,or make online update .The interface is destroy/broken
1.–Buy a new NPX chip with 60 tokens inside. Desolder the old NPX and change it with new.It cost 14-20USD, some users call this chip as CPU Repair Chip, available at: www.diagkey.com . Note: NPX is out of stock in some sites now, because the newest KESS V2 need not replace NPX, the NPX is preinstalled in the machine .
2.–or you have to weld a connector on backside of interface ,and plug the J-link programmer.

Details about j-link v8 solve Kess V2 master tokens limited problem:
Step 1. Buy one LPC2478 chip to replace the original one for KESS V2 master.
Step 2. Prepare for a LINK J-LINK V8 ARM USB-JTAG Adapter Emulator.
Step 3: weld a connector on backside of interface.
Step 4: plug the J-link programmer

KESS V2 Wake up error, How to Solve?

If you get “Wake up error” when running  kess v2 as the following picture shows.
Possible reasons for wake up error:
Kess v2 fails to read out TF card program or the program in the TF card is not working properly.
2 reasons for  KESS v2 fails to read out TF card program.
1) The four pins of chip are not soldered firmly on the main board.
2) The chip is loose for a long time of use.
Try to do as following instruction:
1)    Solder the chip once more to make it tightly connected to the main board.
2)    Clean up the shrapnel on the card slot with a brush.
3)    Lift up the shrapnel a little bit to make sure it can well communicate with the TF card, if the card slot shrapnel is not flexible enough.
4)    Clean the TF card and then put it back to the card slot.
If the wake up error stays, format the card and then copy the software back to the card.
It is easy 3 basic steps, pay attention to the important note.

3: decompress the file, choose them all, copy and paste to TF card. (IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t directly copy the compressed file to TF card; don’t create a new folder in TF card and copy decompressed file into it.)

If the two methods above do not work out wake up error, reflash the CPU program, and then copy and paste the software to the TF card again. The procedure to reflash CPU is as the same as that to solve token limitation as the following link shows:

KESS V2 OBD2 Manager Tuning Kit FAQ

Q: When KESS V2 read ECU, I got checksum error.
A: Please search “visual C++ 2005 library” on Google, then download it and install it, this error will be solved.
Q(1): How does KESS V2 checksums work? Does  kess v2 automatically confirm and rewrite? Does KESS v2 work with truck? Such as: Mercedes MP1/MP2/MP3 or MAN TGA.
A (2): After reading the software, kess v2 will automatically calibrate checksums. KESS V2 doesn’t work with truck, because the truck voltage is too high and KESS V2 will be burnt out.

2) Télécharger le logiciel d’installation sur votre ordinateur portable, puis exécutez-le (il va générer un autre dossier “Ksuita” sur le disque C, nous l’appelons nouveau dossier Ksuita)
3) Après avoir installé le logiciel d’installation prêt, ouvrez le fichier ancien Ksuita vous coupez bureau. Copiez tous les fichiers dans le dossier Ksuita vieux.
4) Allez sur le disque C, trouver le nouveau dossier Ksuita il génère après avoir installé le logiciel d’installation, puis collez tous les fichiers du dossier Ksuita vieux pour cette nouvelle.
5) Dernier point mais non le moindre, S’il vous plaît vérifier votre  kess v2 et me dire le résultat.
